Common Name2-[(2s)-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-yl]-6-methoxy-4-(prop-2-en-1-yl)phenol
Description4-[(S)-2-(2-Hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-allylphenyl)propyl]-2-methoxyphenol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as stilbenes. These are organic compounds containing a 1,2-diphenylethylene moiety. Stilbenes (C6-C2-C6 ) are derived from the common phenylpropene (C6-C3) skeleton building block. The introduction of one or more hydroxyl groups to a phenyl ring lead to stilbenoids. 2-[(2s)-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-yl]-6-methoxy-4-(prop-2-en-1-yl)phenol is found in Myristica fragrans. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-[(S)-2-(2-Hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-allylphenyl)propyl]-2-methoxyphenol.
