Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. methyl (2r)-2-[(3r,6s)-6-[(2r,3ar,4as,8ar,9ar)-4,4,7,9a-tetramethyl-2h,3h,3ah,4ah,5h,6h,8ah,9h-naphtho[2,3-b]furan-2-yl]-6-methyl-1,2-dioxan-3-yl]propanoate is found in Latrunculia brevis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl (2R)-2-[(3R,6S)-6-[(2R,3aR,4aS,8aR,9aR)-4,4,7,9a-tetramethyl-2H,3H,3aH,4H,4aH,5H,6H,8aH,9H,9aH-naphtho[2,3-b]furan-2-yl]-6-methyl-1,2-dioxan-3-yl]propanoate. |
