| Description | [(AlphaR)-alpha-Cyanobenzyl]2-O,3-O,4-O,6-O-tetragalloyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tannins. These are naturally occurring polyphenols which be categorized into four main classes: Hydrolyzable tannin (based on ellagic acid or gallic acid), condensed tannins (made of oligomeric or polymeric proanthocyanidins), complex tannins (made of a catechin bound to a gallotannin or elagitannin), and phlorotannins (oligomers of phloroglucinol). [(2r,3r,4s,5r,6r)-6-[(r)-cyano(phenyl)methoxy]-3,4,5-tris(3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoyloxy)oxan-2-yl]methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate is found in Phyllagathis rotundifolia. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(alphaR)-alpha-Cyanobenzyl]2-O,3-O,4-O,6-O-tetragalloyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside. |
