These are alkaloids with a structure that is based on the tetracyclic macroline skeleton. The macroline skeleton arises by scission of the C-21 to N-4 bond of the akuammilan skeleton, and mostly occurs in bisindole alkaloids. (2s,13s,15s,16r,17s,19s,20s,21r)-17-methoxy-21-methyl-18-oxa-1,11-diazahexacyclo[11.8.0.0²,¹⁶.0⁴,¹².0⁵,¹⁰.0¹⁵,²⁰]henicosa-4(12),5,7,9-tetraen-19-ol is found in Alstonia yunnanensis.
