DescriptionIsolobelanine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkyl-phenylketones. These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one alkyl group, and a phenyl group. 2-[(2r,6s)-6-(2-oxo-2-phenylethyl)piperidin-2-yl]-1-phenylethanone is found in Lobelia davidii, Lobelia inflata and Lobelia portoricensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Isolobelanine.
