| Description | 2'-Methoxykobusin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as furanoid lignans. These are lignans with a structure that contains either a tetrahydrofuran ring, a furan ring, or a furofuan ring system, that arises from the joining of the two phenylpropanoid units. 5-[(1s,3ar,4s,6ar)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-4-methoxy-2h-1,3-benzodioxole is found in Leucophyllum ambiguum. 5-[(1s,3ar,4s,6ar)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-4-methoxy-2h-1,3-benzodioxole was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 12608853). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2'-Methoxykobusin. |
