These are monosaccharides comprising a phosphated group linked to the carbohydrate unit. d-galactopyranose 1-phosphate is found in Homo sapiens. d-galactopyranose 1-phosphate was first documented in 1974 (PMID: 4358045). D-Galactopyranose 1-phosphate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa) (PMID: 17709092).
