| Description | Hovetrichoside A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as stilbene glycosides. Stilbene glycosides are compounds structurally characterized by the presence of a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically linked to the stilbene skeleton. (2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-2-[(1r,2s)-3-hydroxy-1,2-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Hovenia trichocarpa and Salacia chinensis. (2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-2-[(1r,2s)-3-hydroxy-1,2-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol was first documented in 2017 (PMID: 30549897). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Hovetrichoside A. |
