Quinoline or benzo[b]pyridine is a bicyclic compound that consists of benzene fused to a pyridine. 3,3-bis(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl)-2,6-dihydroxyquinolin-4-one is found in Atalantia buxifolia. 3,3-Bis(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl)-2,6-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydroquinolin-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
