These are flavones that features a C5-isoprenoid substituent at the 8-position. Thus, 6-c-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-8-c-beta-D-apiofuranosylapigenin is considered to be a flavonoid. 8-[(2s,3s,4r)-3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-6-[(2s,3r,4r,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]chromen-4-one is found in Sechium edule and Xanthosoma violaceum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-c-beta-d-glucopyranosyl-8-c-beta-d-apiofuranosylapigenin. |
