| Description | CROTAORIXIN belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-prenylated chalcones. These are chalcones featuring a C5-isoprenoid unit at the 3-position. (2e)-1-[2,4-dihydroxy-3-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)phenyl]-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one is found in Crotalaria orixensis. (2e)-1-[2,4-dihydroxy-3-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)phenyl]-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 15929201). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on CROTAORIXIN. |
