DescriptionIsokurarinone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-prenylated flavanones. These are flavanones that features a C5-isoprenoid substituent at the 8-position. (2r)-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-8-[(2s)-5-methyl-2-(prop-1-en-2-yl)hex-4-en-1-yl]-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Sophora flavescens. (2r)-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-8-[(2s)-5-methyl-2-(prop-1-en-2-yl)hex-4-en-1-yl]-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 17658714). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Isokurarinone (PMID: 32371325).
