DescriptionCannabistilbene II belongs to the class of organic compounds known as methoxyphenols. Methoxyphenols are compounds containing a methoxy group attached to the benzene ring of a phenol moiety. 3-[(1e)-2-(5-hydroxy-3-methoxycyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-yl)ethenyl]-2,6-dimethoxyphenol is found in Cannabis sativa. 3-[(1e)-2-(5-hydroxy-3-methoxycyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-yl)ethenyl]-2,6-dimethoxyphenol was first documented in 1984 (PMID: 6481358). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Cannabistilbene II.
