Naphthopyrans are compounds containing a pyran ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 6 membered-ring non-aromatic ring with five carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1s,2s,5s,6r,9s,12r,15r,16s,21r)-6,9,16-trihydroxy-5,15-dimethyl-8,13,17-trioxahexacyclo[14.2.2.1¹,¹².0²,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹.0¹⁵,²¹]henicos-10-en-14-one is found in Icacina claessensii and Icacina oliviformis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,5S,6R,9S,12R,15R,16S,21R)-6,9,16-trihydroxy-5,15-dimethyl-8,13,17-trioxahexacyclo[14.2.2.1¹,¹².0²,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹.0¹⁵,²¹]Henicos-10-en-14-one. |
