Description6-[4-(5,7-Dihydroxy-3,6-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxane-2-carboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid o-glucuronides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to glucuronic acid. 6-[4-(5,7-dihydroxy-3,6-dimethoxy-4-oxochromen-2-yl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxane-2-carboxylic acid is found in Spinacia oleracea. 6-[4-(5,7-Dihydroxy-3,6-dimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxane-2-carboxylic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
