DescriptionNeocalceolarioside D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acid esters. These are aromatic compounds containing an ester derivative of coumaric acid. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-[2-(1-hydroxy-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-yl)ethoxy]oxan-2-yl]methyl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Abeliophyllum distichum. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-[2-(1-hydroxy-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-yl)ethoxy]oxan-2-yl]methyl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate was first documented in 2019 (PMID: 29911890). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Neocalceolarioside D.
