These are benzoquinones where the two C=O groups are attached at the 1- and 4-positions, respectively. irisquinone is found in Iris pallasii and Iris pseudacorus. irisquinone was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 16011270). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Irisquinone (PMID: 26963468) (PMID: 23276827).
