| Description | Valeriotetrate C belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hexacarboxylic acids and derivatives. These are carboxylic acids containing exactly six carboxyl groups. [(1s,4ar,6s,7r,7as)-6-(acetyloxy)-4a,7-dihydroxy-4-({[(2r)-3-methyl-2-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]butanoyl]oxy}methyl)-1-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]-1h,5h,6h,7ah-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl (2r)-3-methyl-2-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]butanoate is found in Valeriana jatamansi. [(1s,4ar,6s,7r,7as)-6-(acetyloxy)-4a,7-dihydroxy-4-({[(2r)-3-methyl-2-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]butanoyl]oxy}methyl)-1-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]-1h,5h,6h,7ah-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl (2r)-3-methyl-2-[(3-methylbutanoyl)oxy]butanoate was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 20853876). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Valeriotetrate C (PMID: 33548771) (PMID: 32058217). |
