DescriptionTrans-2-hexacosenoic acid, also known as 26:1, N-24 trans or (e)-hexacos-2-enoic acid, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as very long-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains at least 22 carbon atoms. hexacos-2t-ensaeure is found in Callyspongia fallax. hexacos-2t-ensaeure was first documented in 1973 (PMID: 4351782). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on trans-2-hexacosenoic acid.
