These compounds are related to the Aspidosperma group by formation of a C-2 to C-18 bond. kopsinine is found in Hunteria umbellata, Hunteria zeylanica, Kopsia arborea, Kopsia fruticosa, Kopsia griffithii, Kopsia officinalis and Kopsia singapurensis. 3-Isokopsinine is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
