Common Name(1's,2r,2's,4's,5r,7's,8'r,9's,12's,13's,14'r,16'r,18'r)-5,7',9',13'-tetramethyl-5'-oxaspiro[oxane-2,6'-pentacyclo[10.8.0.0²,⁹.0⁴,⁸.0¹³,¹⁸]icosane]-14',16'-diol
DescriptionIsorhodeasapogenin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Thus, isorhodeasapogenin is considered to be a sterol. (1's,2r,2's,4's,5r,7's,8'r,9's,12's,13's,14'r,16'r,18'r)-5,7',9',13'-tetramethyl-5'-oxaspiro[oxane-2,6'-pentacyclo[10.8.0.0²,⁹.0⁴,⁸.0¹³,¹⁸]icosane]-14',16'-diol is found in Rohdea japonica. (1's,2r,2's,4's,5r,7's,8'r,9's,12's,13's,14'r,16'r,18'r)-5,7',9',13'-tetramethyl-5'-oxaspiro[oxane-2,6'-pentacyclo[10.8.0.0²,⁹.0⁴,⁸.0¹³,¹⁸]icosane]-14',16'-diol was first documented in 2009 (PMID: 20034218). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Isorhodeasapogenin (PMID: 32512266).
