These are ester derivatives of alpha amino acids. methyl 1-[2-(furan-2-yl)-2-oxoethyl]-5-oxopyrrolidine-2-carboxylate is found in Morus alba. methyl 1-[2-(furan-2-yl)-2-oxoethyl]-5-oxopyrrolidine-2-carboxylate was first documented in 2014 (PMID: 24974468). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl 1-[2-(furan-2-yl)-2-oxoethyl]-5-oxopyrrolidine-2-carboxylate.
