| Description | Yejuhua lactone, also known as handelin or ye ju-hua, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesterterpenoids. These are terpenes composed of five consecutive isoprene units. (2'r,5r,6s,9's,9bs)-2',6-dihydroxy-2',6,9,11'-tetramethyl-6'-methylidene-2,7'-dioxo-4,5,6a,7,9a,9b-hexahydro-3ah-8'-oxaspiro[azuleno[4,5-b]furan-3,12'-tetracyclo[9.2.2.0¹,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹]pentadecan]-14'-en-5-yl acetate is found in Polychrysum tadshikorum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Yejuhua lactone. |
