Description5R-hete belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids. These are eicosanoic acids with an attached hydroxyl group and four CC double bonds. Thus, 5R-hete is considered to be an eicosanoid. 5r-hete was first documented in 1994 (PMID: 7929234). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5r-hete (PMID: 9219894).
