Description(R)-3-Hydroxypyrrolidin-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyrrolidine-2-ones. These are pyrrolidines which bear a C=O group at position 2 of the pyrrolidine ring. (3r)-4,5-dihydro-3h-pyrrole-2,3-diol is found in Cistanche tubulosa. (3r)-4,5-dihydro-3h-pyrrole-2,3-diol was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 25769022). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (R)-3-Hydroxypyrrolidin-2-one.
