Description1,7-Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-6-hepten-3-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as linear diarylheptanoids. These are diarylheptanoids with an open heptane chain. The two aromatic rings are linked only by the heptane chain. 1,7-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)hept-6-en-3-one is found in Curcuma kwangsiensis. 1,7-Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-6-hepten-3-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
