Glycosyl-amino acids are compounds consisting of saccharide linked through a glycosyl linkage (O-, N-, or S-) to an amino acid. 2,5-diamino-4-hydroxy-7-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]amino}octanedioic acid is found in Ascochyta caulina. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2,5-diamino-4-hydroxy-7-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]amino}octanedioic acid.
