DescriptionNoratropine, also known as norhyoscyamine, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tropane alkaloids. These are organic compounds containing the nitrogenous bicyclic alkaloid parent N-Methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]Octane. (1r,5s)-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-yl 3-hydroxy-2-phenylpropanoate was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 16971086). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Noratropine.
