Description6-Hydroxy-4-[5-(6-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-14-oxo-1-oxacyclotetradeca-3,7,12-trien-2-yl)-4-oxohexyl]-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyridin-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as macrolides and analogues. These are organic compounds containing a lactone ring of at least twelve members. 6-hydroxy-4-[5-(6-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-14-oxo-1-oxacyclotetradeca-3,7,12-trien-2-yl)-4-oxohexyl]-4,5-dihydro-3h-pyridin-2-one is found in Streptomyces platensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-hydroxy-4-[5-(6-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-14-oxo-1-oxacyclotetradeca-3,7,12-trien-2-yl)-4-oxohexyl]-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyridin-2-one.
