| Description | Godotol A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclopentanols. Cyclopentanols are compounds containing a cyclopentane ring that carries an alcohol group. (1s)-4-{[(4r)-4-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-5-methylidenecyclopentyl]methyl}-3-methylcyclopent-2-en-1-ol is found in Pluchea arabica. (1s)-4-{[(4r)-4-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-5-methylidenecyclopentyl]methyl}-3-methylcyclopent-2-en-1-ol was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15568792). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on godotol A. |
