| Description | (3AS,4S,6aS,9aS,9bS)-9-methyl-3,6-dimethylidene-2H,3H,3aH,4H,5H,6H,6aH,7H,9aH,9bH-azuleno[4,5-b]furan-4-yl (2E)-4-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)but-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as guaianes. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the guaiane skeleton. Guaiane is a bicyclic compound consisting of a decahydroazulene moiety, substituted with two methyl groups and a 1-methylethyl group at the 1-, 4-, and 7-position, respectively.
