| Description | 9-Deoxyxenialactol-C belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oxanes. Oxanes are compounds containing an oxane (tetrahydropyran) ring, which is a six-member saturated aliphatic heterocycle with one oxygen atom and five carbon atoms. (1s,4e,4as,11ar)-4-[(2e)-4-hydroxy-4-methylpent-2-en-1-ylidene]-7-methyl-11-methylidene-1h,3h,4ah,5h,6h,9h,10h,11ah-cyclonona[c]pyran-1-ol is found in Xenia umbellata. (1s,4e,4as,11ar)-4-[(2e)-4-hydroxy-4-methylpent-2-en-1-ylidene]-7-methyl-11-methylidene-1h,3h,4ah,5h,6h,9h,10h,11ah-cyclonona[c]pyran-1-ol was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 12502332). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 9-deoxyxenialactol-C. |
