Hydroxyanthraquinones are compounds containing a hydroxyanthraquinone moiety, which consists of an anthracene bearing a quinone, and hydroxyl group. 3-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-6-hydroxy-2-methyl-9,10-dioxoanthracen-1-yl acetate is found in Rubia cordifolia. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-6-hydroxy-2-methyl-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracen-1-yl acetate. |
