DescriptionMakalika ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alpha amino acid esters. These are ester derivatives of alpha amino acids. (7e,9e)-10-chloro-2,2-dimethyl-5-methylidenedeca-7,9-dien-3-yl (2s)-1-methylpyrrolidine-2-carboxylate is found in Stylocheilus longicauda. (7e,9e)-10-chloro-2,2-dimethyl-5-methylidenedeca-7,9-dien-3-yl (2s)-1-methylpyrrolidine-2-carboxylate was first documented in 2000 (PMID: 10924193). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Makalika ester.
