| Description | PHYSACOZTOMATIN belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. (2e,4r)-5-[(1s,4as,8as)-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-1,4,4a,6,7,8-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl]-3-methylpent-2-ene-1,4-diol is found in Physalis coztomatl and Physalis sordida. (2e,4r)-5-[(1s,4as,8as)-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-1,4,4a,6,7,8-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl]-3-methylpent-2-ene-1,4-diol was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16872139). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on PHYSACOZTOMATIN (PMID: 26513276). |
