These are organic compounds containing chalcone skeleton that carries a hydroxyl group at the 2'-position. 3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-2-methoxyprop-2-en-1-one is found in Peltogyne paniculata. 3-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-2-methoxyprop-2-en-1-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
