Description4-[5-Methoxy-2-methyl-2-(4-methyl-2-oxopent-3-en-1-yl)-7-oxo-2H,3H,4H,7H,8H,9H-pyrano[2,3-e]isoindol-8-yl]butanoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoindolones. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds that an isoindole bearing a ketone. 4-[5-methoxy-2-methyl-2-(4-methyl-2-oxopent-3-en-1-yl)-7-oxo-3h,4h,9h-pyrano[2,3-e]isoindol-8-yl]butanoic acid is found in Hericium erinaceus. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36055769). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on 4-[5-methoxy-2-methyl-2-(4-methyl-2-oxopent-3-en-1-yl)-7-oxo-2H,3H,4H,7H,8H,9H-pyrano[2,3-e]isoindol-8-yl]butanoic acid (PMID: 36055768) (PMID: 36055767) (PMID: 36055766) (PMID: 36055765).
