| Description | Pochonin A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives. Hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives are compounds containing a hydroxybenzoic acid (or a derivative), which is a benzene ring bearing a carboxyl and a hydroxyl groups. (4s,6r,8r,11e)-16-chloro-17,19-dihydroxy-4-methyl-3,7-dioxatricyclo[13.4.0.0⁶,⁸]nonadeca-1(19),11,15,17-tetraene-2,13-dione is found in Pochonia chlamydosporia. (4s,6r,8r,11e)-16-chloro-17,19-dihydroxy-4-methyl-3,7-dioxatricyclo[13.4.0.0⁶,⁸]nonadeca-1(19),11,15,17-tetraene-2,13-dione was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 16321010). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Pochonin A. |
