| Description | 11-Hydroxy-1(10)E,5E-germacradien-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as germacrane sesquiterpenoids. These are sesquiterpenoids having the germacrane skeleton, with a structure characterized by a cyclodecane ring substituted with an isopropyl and two methyl groups. (2e,6r,7e,9s)-6-(2-hydroxypropan-2-yl)-3,9-dimethylcyclodeca-2,7-dien-1-one is found in Nocardiopsis chromatogenes. (2e,6r,7e,9s)-6-(2-hydroxypropan-2-yl)-3,9-dimethylcyclodeca-2,7-dien-1-one was first documented in 2017 (PMID: 27484832). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 11-hydroxy-1(10)E,5E-germacradien-2-one. |
