DescriptionFlavaspidic acid AB, also known as flavaspidate ab, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkyl-phenylketones. These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one alkyl group, and a phenyl group. 2-acetyl-4-[(3-butanoyl-2,4,6-trihydroxy-5-methylphenyl)methyl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6,6-dimethylcyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-one is found in Dryopteris crassirhizoma. 2-acetyl-4-[(3-butanoyl-2,4,6-trihydroxy-5-methylphenyl)methyl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6,6-dimethylcyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-one was first documented in 2013 (PMID: 23178515). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Flavaspidic acid AB (PMID: 35956948) (PMID: 33383880).
