Description4-Hydroxysesamin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as furanoid lignans. These are lignans with a structure that contains either a tetrahydrofuran ring, a furan ring, or a furofuan ring system, that arises from the joining of the two phenylpropanoid units. (3r,3as,6r,6ar)-3,6-bis(2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-ol is found in Cleistanthus collinus and Taiwanofungus camphoratus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-Hydroxysesamin.
