DescriptionQuercetin 3-(2''-acetylgalactoside) belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, quercetin 3-(2''-acetylgalactoside) is considered to be a flavonoid. (2s,3r,4s,5r,6r)-2-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-4-oxochromen-3-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl acetate is found in Consolida oliveriana, Hypericum perforatum, Hypericum sikokumontanum and Roldana lineolata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Quercetin 3-(2''-acetylgalactoside).
