Description | 2-[4-Hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4a-trimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]acetic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclic alcohols and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing an aliphatic ring substituted with at least one hydroxyl group. [4-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4a-trimethyl-2,3,4,7,8,8a-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl]acetic acid is found in Dicranopteris linearis. 2-[4-Hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4a-trimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]acetic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
