Description[(6Z)-8-Hydroxy-7-methyl-3-methylene-6-octenyl]2-O,6-O-diacetyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6r)-5-(acetyloxy)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-{[(6e)-8-hydroxy-7-methyl-3-methylideneoct-6-en-1-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl acetate is found in Tetraneuris ivesiana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(6Z)-8-Hydroxy-7-methyl-3-methylene-6-octenyl]2-O,6-O-diacetyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside.
