| Description | Trilobatin B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan glycosides. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds containing a carbohydrate component glycosidically linked to a lignan moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones. (1r,2s)-1-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-({[(2r,3r,4r,5r)-5-(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]methoxy}carbonyl)-6,7-dihydroxy-1,2-dihydronaphthalene-2-carboxylic acid is found in Bazzania trilobata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Trilobatin B. |
