DescriptionN-[3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-methoxy-1-oxopropan-2-yl]-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enimidic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenylalanine and derivatives. Phenylalanine and derivatives are compounds containing phenylalanine or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of phenylalanine at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. n-[3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-methoxy-1-oxopropan-2-yl]-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enimidic acid is found in Dalbergia melanoxylon. N-[3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-methoxy-1-oxopropan-2-yl]-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enimidic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
