Naphthopyranones are compounds containing a naphthopyran skeleton where a ring carbon bears a carboxylic acid group. Naphthtopyran is made up of the pyran ring fused to a naphthalene ring system. (12r,15r,16r)-4,6-dihydroxy-12-methyl-15-[(1e)-prop-1-en-1-yl]-11,13-dioxatetracyclo[8.7.0.0³,⁸.0¹²,¹⁶]heptadeca-1(10),3,5,7-tetraene-2,9-dione is found in Astrosphaeriella nypae. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Astronyquinone. |
