| Description | Lagotisoside D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acids and derivatives. These are aromatic compounds containing Aromatic compounds containing a cinnamic acid moiety (or a derivative thereof) hydroxylated at the C2 (ortho-), C3 (meta-), or C4 (para-) carbon atom of the benzene ring. (2s,3r,4s,5r,6s)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-{[(1s,2s,4s,5s,6r,10s)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-10-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,9-dioxatricyclo[4.4.0.0²,⁴]dec-7-en-5-yl]oxy}-2-methyloxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Buddleja japonica and Scrophularia deserti. (2s,3r,4s,5r,6s)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-{[(1s,2s,4s,5s,6r,10s)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-10-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,9-dioxatricyclo[4.4.0.0²,⁴]dec-7-en-5-yl]oxy}-2-methyloxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate was first documented in 2021 (PMID: 33673028). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Lagotisoside D. |
