| Description | Epiafzelechin 3-o-beta-d-glucopyranoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, epiafzelechin 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside is considered to be a flavonoid. (2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-2-{[(2r,3r)-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2h-1-benzopyran-3-yl]oxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Cassia fistula. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Epiafzelechin 3-o-beta-d-glucopyranoside. |
