DescriptionAscaroside B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hexoses. These are monosaccharides in which the sugar unit is a is a six-carbon containing moeity. (2r,3r,5r,6s)-2-[(6-hydroxyhentriacontan-2-yl)oxy]-6-methyloxane-3,5-diol is found in Ascaris suum. (2r,3r,5r,6s)-2-[(6-hydroxyhentriacontan-2-yl)oxy]-6-methyloxane-3,5-diol was first documented in 2019 (PMID: 31484427). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Ascaroside B.
